Saanen is the goat breed with the highest milk production in the world. They got this name because they originated in the Saanen Valley of Switzerland. Consistent and excellent milk production is the main specialty of this breed.

Jose says that these goats, which belong to the generation of Saanen goats imported directly from abroad, were brought home after reaching Chennai and quarantined there.
They are housed in two locations. There was a concern about whether they would adapt to the climate.
