Saanen Goats in Chalakudy

Jose Madappilly, a native of Elanthikkara, Chalakudy, Kerala, has about twenty Saanen goats in his possession.

Jose says that these goats, which belong to the generation of Saanen goats imported directly from abroad, were brought home after reaching Chennai and quarantined there.

They are housed in two locations. There was a concern about whether they would adapt to the climate.
